We stay in Farmington at Holiday Inn Express $104.50 + tax for double occupancy $ 93.00 + tax for AAA members double occupancy Bonne Terre Mines is
located in Missouri, just south of St. Louis.
This will truly be one of the most unique inland dives that you ever do.
Jacques Cousteau visited the mine and had only wonderful things to say
about the over 100’ visibility! Water
temps stay a consistent 58 degrees and you will need a full 7mm wetsuit, hood
and gloves or you can always dive dry!! There is a bit of a hike
in and out of the mine and you have to carry your gear down on the first run and
out on the last one on Sunday….whew!! :
) If you have ever gone on a
Mammoth Cave tour….imagine that and you carry your gear in and go diving in a
big lake located inside the cave….it is awesome!! |
